Am I required to register my firearm to receive a warranty?
Congratulations on your purchase. There is no need to send in any warranty registration information in the US. All our shotguns have a lifetime manufacturer warranty that stays with the shotgun and serial number in compliance with ATF regulations.
How do you install a compensator?
To install the compensator, first use the silver flush mount choke. Install your choice of choke, then loosen the 4 bolts on the compensator. Slide the compensator over the barrel with the vents facing up, push it down until it bottoms out, level it out, and tighten the screws to spec. If using the provided Allen wrench, tighten the screws in a star pattern very snugly.
How many choke tubes come with a purchase of your firearm?
The shotgun comes with 4 chokes: 1 black extended ported choke (#5) and 3 silver flush mount chokes (1, 3, 5). Intended uses are detailed in the provided manual.
What recommendations do you suggest for a sling?
We recommend using the sling at a single-point attachment by connecting both ends to the latch plate on the back side of the receiver. If you wish to attach the sling to the handguard, an aftermarket sling attachment point will be needed, as we currently do not sell this accessory.
How do we process returns?

What other choke tubes do you recommend if Typhoon Defense's choke tubes are out of stock?
The F12 comes with 4 chokes: 1 black extended ported choke (#5) and 3 silver flush mount chokes (1, 3, 5). We recommend using the #5 choke for shooting 00 buck or slugs. When out of stock, we recommend Benelli Mobil chokes.
How do you remove a CA-compliant magazine lock?
To remove the mag lock device, take the upper off the lower. Locate the pin above the magazine button. Using a small flathead screwdriver, depress the pin until you can insert the screwdriver into the slot. Remove the pin and spring. Reinstall the mag lock in reverse order.
How do you remove a CA pin?
To disassemble the CA-compliant model, first remove the magazine lock. Separate the lower from the upper by pushing out the takedown pins. Insert a chamber flag into the bolt back to avoid damage to the feed ramp. Locate the pin above the mag release button, press it, and use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew and remove it. Reinstall if needed for CA compliance.
Is there a maxi-style handguard available for my firearm?
The Maxi-style handguard is not sold in the US due to importation laws. Available products in the US can be found on our website.

What must I do if the firearm is not cycling?
We apologize for the issues with your shotgun. A 100-round break-in period with heavy brass ammo (1500 FPS or higher) is recommended. Apply reputable gun oil as factory oil is only a rust preventative. If problems persist, watch the video linked below for more information about your F12. Contact us if issues continue.

Do you carry a 20-round drum?
Yes! A 20-round drum is available for purchase.
How do you remove the fixed stock?
To remove the fixed stock, first remove the visible Allen bolt at the neck of the stock. Then, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the recoil pad. Finally, remove the Allen bolt inside the stock and slide off the fixed stock.
What are the differences between F12 and X12 firearms?
  • F12: Solid billet aluminum shotgun with traditional AR features, takedown pins, more accessory options, optional adjustable stock, ambidextrous safety, rubber over-molded pistol grip, M-LOK handguard, and heat shield.
  • X12: Polymer lower with a solid fixed stock, featuring more polymer components.
Both shotguns perform well, but the F12 offers more customization options.
What flashlight recommendation do you have for a Typhoon Defense's firearm?
We do not have specific flashlight recommendations. Due to the recoil of 12 gauge shotguns, avoid the cheapest lights as they may fail from the recoil.
What type of ammunition is recommended for a Typhoon Defense firearm?
For the 100-round break-in period, use ammo with 1500 FPS or higher to prevent ejection issues. Try different ammo types to ensure there is no defect. If needed, send your gun in for inspection under warranty. Shipping to us is your responsibility, but return shipping is covered by us. Contact us to start this process.
What kind of factory muzzle brake choke is recommended?
The light modified choke is recommended for general use.
