Typhoon Defense FSA
The Typhoon Defense Folding Stock Adapter (FSA) allows the user to mount a picatinny-style stock attachment (such as the Sampson B.R.E.) in place of the AR15 style buffer tube on the Typhoon Defense F12 models. The folding stock adapter is also compatable with Standard AR-15 lower recievers and can be used on bufferless builds such as a 22LR conversion.
The kit is composed of two Aluminum components and two 1/4x20 mounting bolts for superior durability and strength.
The externally-threaded adapter plug threads into the threaded portion of the lower meant for the buffer tube and the adapter component fits into the slot in the adapter plug and mates up to the rear of the receiver. The two are secured to each other and the firearm by 2 hex-socket 1/4x20 screws installed from the inside and locked in place with the included blue thread locker.
Machined from 6061 T7 aluminum the FSA is durable and built to last. Cerakoted graphite black the adapter is wear and chemically resistant.
This product is intended only for applications where the carrier and buffer tube do not protrude past the receiver ring in the AR-15 platform.
NOTE: Standard configuration AR15 style rifles will not function using this adapter.
NOTE: This adapter still allows the use of a standard takedown pin, detent, and spring on traditional AR15 lower receivers.
